Jolie as Monroe?

Following reports in May about two separate Marilyn Monroe projects starring Naomi Watts and Michelle Williams, Salt star Angelina Jolie is rumoured to be have been cast as the blond siren in an adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's novel, The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of his Friend Marilyn Monroe, CHUD reports.

Based on the final two years of Monroe's life, the novel is told from the perspective of Mafia Honey, the dog Frank Sinatra gave to her as a gift.

George Clooney is rumoured to be playing Frank Sinatra.
